I don’t know about you all, but I need a vacation like nobody’s business. Much like the painter, that never paints his house or the massage therapist, who never gets a massage. Well I guess I’m the travel girl, who never gets to travel. While we all have our individual reasons for never getting around to our own needs. I’m afraid the economy is the root of why a lot of us are not packing up our suitcases this summer. I’ve put a lot of thought into this lately and well I think it’s a shame. If only, right? Well how about a solution. We just have to look at it differently. Normally we would pick a few places, get a few quotes, decided on our destination based on our short term disposable income. And within 90 day’s bon voyage.Disposable income, what’s that right? Well take this for example. As of today 6/19/09 @ 1:37pm you can book a November 02, 2009 Carnival Imagination: 4 Day Western Caribbean from Miami, FL Interior room for $239.00 per person The same exact cruise is available on June 22, 2009 for $279.00… here’s my point save it up, I know I know but don’t tell me you don’t spend 10.00 a week on non-necessities… I know I do… but for that price 10.00 a week for the next six months you could be lounging in the Caribbean sunshine… perspective that’s all, lets change the way we do things not stop doing them… put $5.00 in the cookie jar and this time next year you could be dipping your toes in the warm sand thinking about just how smart That girl Kristine is, over at Linda Long Travel...Now that's what I call a last Minute DEAL!
New York New York... Nothing could be finer then NY @ Christmas
We are excited to announce Dr. Katherine Howard will head the annual Linda Long New York trip this year.
Our relationship with Kathy goes back more than 25 years. She has lead a number of tours for us in the past including Alaskan cruises, European tours, Asian tours, Southern European tours, and many tours throughout the United States including New York.
With Kathy's up and coming retirement as an executive with the Greenville County School District, she will have more time to dedicate to her passion of traveling. She has offered to head our New York trip and it was an offer we could not refuse. We already know from our past group experiences with her that you'll thoroughly enjoy your trip and expect to be busy as she provides you with a full schedule of optional activities. We're looking forward to an exceptional tour. Come and join the fun!
What's better than New York at Christmas? We only have 24 available seats at this time, so if you are planning a trip this year, the sooner the better to ensure we have room for you!
We will be staying at the New York Skyline Hotel again this year. It was a big hit last year so we decided to return. For those of you that missed it last year, the New York Skyline Hotel is in a fabulous midtown location that puts us within easy access to most of the Big Apple's hot spots.
Also, don't forget we'll be glad to book individual tickets for shows at Radio City or perhaps a play at one of the Broadway theaters. Be sure to include the correct credit card information to secure your personal event. Please call with any questions regarding this year's trip. It's improved as the years have gone by. This year will be no exception and we're looking forward to hosting you either once again or for the first time!
